Happy New Year!

In order of appreciation...

My Dad says a blessing for Rosh Hashanah...

...and I take a picture of a bunch of the dessert rugelah before they were completely devoured. Sadly, four chocolate and two raspberry rugelahs couldn't be with us for this shot...scarfed after a full meal of chicken soup with the biggest, fluffiest Matzoh balls ever, chicken, noodle pudding, or kugel, as it's called, and a few token vegetables so that it wasn't a completely carb-laden meal.

My brother and I had a lovely dinner with our Dad, something we haven't done in a long time. We're crazy busy with family and work obligations, but it was just the three of us this evening, which was quiet and very special. A healthy and happy New Year to all.
