A Spot of Color In The Deep Midwinter

I happened to visit the Treasury on Etsy a minute before it opened again...there were over 1000 people waiting and watching. A box popped up and I went for it. There are almost 1000 treasuries - far too many for any but the obsessed to look through, but I like mine, culled from my favorites and a few searches. In Which I Snag A Treasury

I was watching "Tess of the D'Urbervilles" on PBS and quite by accident, a space popped up in the Etsy Treasury and I grabbed it. It was the first thing that I thought of, but I hadn't prepared anything, so I spent an hour searching for items, and it was HARD. I didn't find all that I was hoping to, but I probably would have if I'd had another two hours. I think it's an evocative list...do you?

I have to say that I have not seen a purple grouping like this, ever. It's a feast for the eyes, stimulating and soothing for the senses. It's curated by Belleamitie, who I'm glad to know about. Beautiful!

I'll Have Some Cream and Sugar With This Treasury

I'm not in this Treasury, but I had to post it as it the most mouth-watering thing. I am a coffee lover, and my 92-year old Dad loves it even more than I do, so Dad, this one's for you. Front page very early this morning! :)





Second picture down...On The Spot, by Band Geek, was on the Front Page of Etsy in the wee hours this morning!

I woke up yesterday to the sight of new treasuries on Etsy that I was featured in, which is always a welcome marketing aid. I don't always sell what's featured, and was even on the Front Page of Etsy three times a week or so ago and didn't sell any of those items. I don't get on the FP that often, but I have always sold the piece, whatever it is. The view increase is amazing, though - one item went from 200-something to over 800 in the almost-hour that it was visible.

I'm always amazed that people can think up such interesting Treasury themes, day after day. I can't think of anything new to do anymore that hasn't been done already many times over, so when I snagged a Treasury West slot a month or so ago, I used it to thank the curators who featured me lately.

I'm an alternate in the last one, greyed-out little star and thus not visible to anyone but the Curator, but I though it was such a gorgeous and melancholy list that wanted to include it. The only thing I can think that she could choose from my shop are the mismatched key earrings.
